Ware has worked internationally with performers and creatives from over a dozen countries.
An American now based in Europe, he worked heavily in the Twin Cities before moving abroad, most notably with Theater in the Round on their critically-acclaimed production of Treasure Island.

Ware is an accomplished and versatile entertainer.  He got his start in variety and circus performance before obtaining a bachelor’s degree in theater from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in physical theater from the Accademia dell’Arte in Italy.

Now, he creates work that blends the worlds of circus and theater: powerful storytelling through muscular, energetic physicality.

In addition to his degrees, he has studied mask, clown and physical acting with Pig Iron Theater, Avner the Eccentric, renowned fight director Paul Dennhardt, and many others.

His work has been praised in online reviews and in print media. Read what people are saying:

The cast of the Theatre in the Round production brings this polished and still-fresh script to life with gusto and aplomb…There are several excellent performances in this cast, but the chemistry between Dowd and Carlton-Ford sizzles in scene after scene.

This play’s actors are its greatest strength. Ally (Kendra McMillan) and Mark (Ware Carlton-Ford) play off of each other well…The assembled group defies the conventional wisdom that young, new companies tend to showcase mixed levels of talent. (A Kind of Love Story)

There are fun turns throughout the cast. Ware Carlton-Ford presents Blind Pew as a creature out of a nightmare, able to control everyone around him even if he can’t see a thing.

A spooky stranger in a black cowl transforms alarmingly to make him even more threatening. An island plops on a painting to suggest the sighting of the destination…I can’t think of a show I’ve enjoyed more at Theater in the Round
